Lu Yishan was successfully elected into the CAC expert group on Foodborne Antimicrobial Resistance

The fifth session of Codex Alimentarius Commission(CAC) Joint Intergovernmental Working Group on Antimicrobial Resistance was held in Jeju Island, Korea from November 27 to December 1. The meeting agreed to establish an Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Expert Committee. Lu Yishan, vice president of Shenzhen Institute of Guangdong Ocean University, was successfully selected into the CAC foodborne antibiotic resistance expert group and was responsible for antibiotic resistance work and technical support for aquatic products.

The Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) is the only intergovernmental international organization jointly established by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization and the World Health Organization in 1963 to harmonize food regulations and technical standards in member countries. The standards set by the CAC are devoted to protecting the health and safety of consumers in various countries, maintaining fair international food trade, and providing important scientific reference for the formulation of food standards in various countries.
