This center is the first company in shenzhen specializing in Marine strategic research institutions, was founded in July 2016, on the basis of Marine economy and management research center, integrating the resource of guangdong ocean university and Marine research in shenzhen area, mainly to carry out the Marine rights and interests, security, law, policy, economy, development and resource environment and so on strategic issues of research, theory and practice of Marine economic development strategy, and the study of Marine industry policy, Marine management system and mechanism and relevant problems of research,, development of coast zone and island sea area use protection policies and measures research, seaside tourism planning, the maritime silk route study, the south China sea Marine safety strategy research, port trade, Marine and construction of the guest room. After the establishment of the institute, it has played an active role in applying for the national Marine economic innovation and development demonstration city in shenzhen.
